Certificates offered through Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in partnership with the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCaTS) are structured, graduate-level educational experiences for Mayo Clinic learners. These programs are designed to equip trainees, scholars and research professionals with essential skills in clinical and translational research. They reflect Mayo Clinic's commitment to advancing scientific discovery, strengthening research education and preparing a translational workforce equipped to move discoveries toward improved health.
These certificate programs are available only to eligible Mayo Clinic learners and are not open to external enrollment.
Program format
Certificate programs are designed to be flexible and accessible for Mayo Clinic learners balancing research, clinical, educational or professional responsibilities.
- Modality: Coursework is 100% virtual.
- Duration: Typically completed in 12 to 18 months.

Building translational research skills
The certificate programs support foundational and applied competencies across the clinical and translational research spectrum.
