The Department of Neuroscience at Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida is committed to research in the areas of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias and cerebrovascular diseases, as well as movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and ataxias. Through basic, translational and clinical research, investigators focus on determining the molecular causes of these diseases and uncovering innovative and improved ways to better predict, prevent, diagnose and optimally treat these neurological disorders.
