Focus Areas

The Department of Neuroscience at Mayo Clinic's campus in Florida is committed to research in the areas of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and ataxias, and cerebrovascular diseases. Through basic, translational and clinical research, investigators are focused on determining the molecular causes of these diseases and uncovering innovative and improved ways to better predict, prevent, diagnose and optimally treat these neurological disorders.

A variety of focus areas are being explored by neuroscience researchers at Mayo Clinic.
