About this study

Heart failure with reduced ejection (HFrEF) is a major health concern. HFrEF is associated with significant endothelial dysfunction (ED). The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of a Western diet (WD) to a high-carbohydrate, high-fiber diet (HCHF) on endothelial function in patients with HFrEF. the study will look at the distribution of intestinal microbe communities after following the diets as well as explore relationships between gut health and ED in patients with HFrEF.

We propose to address this important gap in the literature with a study design that is responsive to needs in the area of healthcare delivery and disease management in this population of patients.

About this study

This is a randomized, double-blinded trial (Chardonnay seed flour vs. placebo - in pill form) with the purpose to test the impact of a four-month supplementation with Chardonnay Seed Flour (CSF) on endothelial function. Chardonnay flour is made from wine grape skins and seeds. We will examine the effect of CSF on parameters such as endothelial function (via EndoPAT testing), plasma lipid levels, glucose tolerance, insulin resistance, inflammatory markers, oxidative stress surrogates, endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) as well as the makeup of and impact on the gut microbiome (via stool samples).

Study phase:
2
During the early phases (phases 1 and 2), researchers assess safety, side effects, optimal dosages and risks/benefits. In the later phase (phase 3), researchers study whether the treatment works better than the current standard therapy. They also compare the safety of the new treatment with that of current treatments. Phase 3 trials include large numbers of people to make sure that the result is valid. There are also less common very early (phase 0) and later (phase 4) phases. Phase 0 trials are small trials that help researchers decide if a new agent should be tested in a phase 1 trial. Phase 4 trials look at long-term safety and effectiveness, after a new treatment has been approved and is on the market.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to to evaluate the rate of overall survival (OS) at two years in patients with either borderline or locally advanced pancreatic cancer who receive electron beam intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) following chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

About this study

Prospective, non-randomized, , multicenter study with two independent arms: * Primary Study Arm - TAAA and Pararenal aneurysms requiring only TAMBE System. Hypothesis-driven analysis. * Up to 65 additional subjects may be implanted in Continued Access Phase under the Primary Study Arm only * Secondary Study Arm - TAAA requiring TAMBE System and CTAG Device(s). Non hypothesis-driven analysis. Minimum: 122 implanted subjects. Maximum: 202 implanted subjects with up to 65 additional subjects implanted in Continued Access (Primary Study arm)

The purpose of this study is to determine endothelial gene expression from guidewire biopsy during clinically indicated endovascular procedures. The genetic analysis will be measured against clinical outcomes and treatment response (response to non-coated and drug-coated technologies and different embolic agents depending on the procedure).

About this study

Prospective, multi-center, randomized, within-subject-controlled , trial, enrolling patients with multi vessel atherosclerotic coronary artery disease, scheduled to undergo SVG CABG with arterial grafting of IMA to LAD and two or more saphenous vein grafts. In each patient, one SVG bypass will be randomized to be supported by the VEST, while another will not be supported and serve as control. Thus, the full cohort will provide a basis for comparison between two sets of SVGs: A VEST supported set; and an unsupported set.
