Collaborative research brings patients new hope
Cassandra K. Kisby, M.D., provides an example of how innovation in one field can inform breakthroughs in another. Collaborations and knowledge sharing between regenerative medicine researchers and experts drive discovery of new treatments for patients with unmet clinical needs. Dr. Kisby explains how a new regenerative medicine product, originally developed for heart disease, was adapted to reverse side effects associated with uro-gynecologic mesh implants.
