About this study

Determine 1) the magnitude of SMG and skin a-syn density change over time, 2) the

improvement in adequate tissue acquisition doing bilateral SMG biopsies, 3) any laterality differences between

SMG gland a-syn density, 4) correlate a-syn density and changes in density between SMG and skin biopsies

Specific Aim 1. Determine, with bilateral submandibular gland (SMG) biopsies in 30 clinically

diagnosed subjects with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and 20 clinically probable REM sleep behavior

disorder (RBD) subjects whether bilateral biopsies improve the rate of acquisition of adequate

glandular tissue, whether alpha-synuclein (a-syn) SMG pathology correlates with clinical severity

and/or disease duration, and whether there is a left-right difference in the density of a-syn pathology.

Specific Aim 2. Determine, with a second SMG biopsy in previously biopsied PD and RBD subjects,

whether a-syn pathology density increases, decreases, or remains the same after a 1.5-2 year time

interval and whether there is a correlation between a-syn SMG pathology and clinical and/or disease

progression.

Specific Aim 3. Determine whether a-syn pathology density in skin punch biopsies correlates

with clinical measures and increases, decreases, or remains the same after a 1.5-2 year time

interval, and whether the density and changes over time correlate with those found in SMG

biopsies.

About this study

The purpose of the research is to determine whether repairing a tricuspid valve (TV) in patients with mild to moderate tricuspid regurgitation (TR), at the time of planned mitral valve surgery (MVS), would improve the heart health of those who receive it compared to those who do not. At this point, the medical community is split in their opinion on whether surgeons should routinely repair mild to moderate TR in patients who are undergoing planned mitral valve surgery, and this study will answer this question.

About this study

CRC is the third most common type of cancer diagnosed worldwide with developed countries at highest risk. The purpose of this study is to assess adverse events and change in disease activity when telisotuzumab adizutecan is given in combination with oxaliplatin, fluorouracil (5FU), leucovorin (LV) (FOLFOX), and bevacizumab or panitumumab.

Telisotuzumab adizutecan is an investigational drug being developed for the treatment of mCRC. Fluorouracil and leucovorin are drugs approved for the treatment of mCRC. This study will be divided into two stages, with the first stage treating participants with increasing doses of telisotuzumab adizutecan with FOLFOX and bevacizumab or 5FU/LV and panitumumab until the dose reached is tolerable and expected to be efficacious. Participants will then be randomized into 3 groups called treatment arms where one group will receive one of two optimized doses of telisotuzumab adizutecan from the dose escalation phase with FOLFOX and bevacizumab or 5FU/LV and panitumumab, or a comparator of FOLFOX and bevacizumab or panitumumab. Approximately 390 adult participants with mCRC will be enrolled in the study in 100 sites worldwide.

In the dose escalation stage participants will be treated with increasing intravenous (IV) doses of telisotuzumab adizutecan with FOLFOX and bevacizumab or 5FU/LV and panitumumab until the dose reached is tolerable and expected to be efficacious. In the dose optimization stage participants will be receive FOLFOX or receive 5FU/LV, but with one of two optimized doses of telisotuzumab adizutecan, or a comparator of FOLFOX and bevacizumab/pantitumumab. The study will run for a duration of approximately 6 years.

There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at an approved institution (hospital or clinic). The effect of the treatment will be frequently checked by medical assessments, blood tests, questionnaires and side effects.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine if “booster” revaccination with the Janssen Ad26.CoV2.S vaccine (JNJ-78436735, aka the J&J vaccine, a viral vector vaccine) increases anti-COVID spike protein antibody levels in solid organ transplant recipients who did not form acceptable levels of anti-COVID spike protein antibody after receiving two doses of a mRNA vaccine: Pfizer-BioNTech (BNT162b2 vaccine) or Modena (mRNA-1273).

About this study

The primary objective of this study is to determine the safety profile of SX-682 alone and in combination with pembrolizumab in subjects with metastatic melanoma, including the maximum dose that can be administered until adverse effects prevent further dose increases (i.e., the MTD or recommended phase 2 dose), and the dose-limiting toxicity (DLT).

The secondary objectives are to evaluate the efficacy of SX-682 in combination with pembrolizumab on the basis of the objective response rate, the duration of response, and the rate of progression, and to characterize the single-dose and multidose pharmacokinetic (PK) profile of SX-682.

About this study

The purpose of this research is to assess the effectiveness of two treatment strategies for smoking cessation in patients with acute recurrent pancreatitis or chronic pancreatitis who smoke cigarettes. All participants will receive varenicline, a commonly used medication that helps people stop smoking, at its standard dose. For those who are unable to stop smoking after 6 weeks of treatment, they will be randomly selected to either 1) increase their dose of varenicline, 2) combine varenicline with bupropion (another medication that helps with smoking cessation) or continue on the standard dose of varenicline. At the end of 12 weeks of treatment, participants will be asked if they have stopped smoking with confirmation done by measuring carbon monoxide levels in their breath.

About this study

The goal of this study is to find out if the experimental product, sacituzumab govitecan-hziy (SG) in combination with pembrolizumab given after surgery, is effective and safe compared to the treatment of physician's choice (TPC) which includes either pembrolizumab or pembrolizumab plus capecitabine in participants with triple negative breast cancer that still remains after surgery and pre-surgical treatment.
