About this study

The purpose of this study is to to determine the individual treatment effect of somatostatin and whether duration of antibiotic therapy coupled with octreotide provides improved outcomes after pancreaticoduodenectomy.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the feasibility and diagnostic performance of 68Ga PSMA-dual contrast PET/MRI for detection and staging of Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC), and to compare it with standard-of-care (SOC) imaging. Additionally, this study aims to identify the biologic correlates of biomarkers derived from 68Ga PSMA-dual contrast PET/MRI with histopathology features and PSMA immunostaining of HCC.

About this study

This is a Phase 3 clinical study, which aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational drug PLX3397 in the treatment of tumour of pigmented villonodular synovitis or giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath in subjects, for whom surgical removal of the tumour would cause more harm than good. The main purpose of this study is to gather information about the investigational drug PLX3397, which may help to treat these tumours. The study consists of two parts. In Part 1, eligible study participants will be assigned to receive either PLX3397 or matching placebo for 24 weeks. A number of assessments will be carried out during the course of the study, including physical examinations, blood tests, imaging studies, electrocardiograms, and questionnaires. MRI scans will be used to evaluate the response of the tumour to the treatment which will be independently assessed by central readers blinded to the treatment assignment. Those subjects, whether assigned to PLX3397 or matching placebo, who have completed Part 1 (i.e, complete 24 weeks of dosing and the Week 25 assessments) will be eligible to advance to Part 2, a long-term treatment phase in which all subjects will receive open-label PLX3397

About this study

About this study

The purpose of this study is is to determine the safety and tolerability of IMGN632 and assess the antileukemia activity of IMGN632 when administered in combination with azacitidine and/or venetoclax in patients with relapsed and frontline CD123-positive AML, and antileukemia activity of IMGN632 when administered as monotherapy in patients with MRD+ AML after frontline treatment.

About this study

This randomized phase II/III trial studies how well temozolomide and veliparib work and compare them to temozolomide alone in treating patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as temozolomide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Veliparib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. It is not yet known whether temozolomide is more effective with or without veliparib in treating glioblastoma multiforme.

The purpose of this study is to use new technology called Optical Transfer Diagnosis (OTD) to find if skin lesions are melanomas or non cancer. The research study team wants to see if the Balter Medical OTD technology will identify these lesions the same or better than a dermatologist.

About this study

This partially randomized phase I/II trial studies the side effects and the best dose of anti-endoglin monoclonal antibody TRC105 when given together with bevacizumab and to see how well they work in treating patients with glioblastoma multiforme that has come back. Monoclonal antibodies, such as anti-endoglin monoclonal antibody TRC105 and bevacizumab, may find tumor cells and help kill them. Giving anti-endoglin monoclonal antibody TRC105 together with bevacizumab may be an effective treatment for glioblastoma multiforme.

About this study

This study utilizes a shorter course of radiotherapy for patients who need radiation after surgery or without surgery for head and neck cancers. Radiation is typically given in 6-7 weeks for head and neck cancer using X-ray therapy, but this study will administer treatment in approximately 3 weeks. To achieve this shorter course, proton therapy is used. This study aims to determine cancer control at 2 years after study registration. It also aims to determine the rate and duration of grade 3 or higher acute (defined from treatment start to 30 days from radiation completion date) adverse events and estimate acute toxicity burden using T-score and to determine the incidence of secondary acute effects attributable to radiotherapy including incidence of PEG tube placement, duration and dose of narcotic analgesia required, weight loss, hospitalization days, and time away from work. Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.
