About this study

This clinical trial evaluates whether a three-dimensional (3D)-printed external breast prosthesis improves patient-reported outcomes (PRO) among breast cancer patients that underwent surgical removal of the breast (mastectomy) without surgical reconstruction. Breast cancer remains a significant health concern and often requires a mastectomy. While breast reconstruction is a common option following a mastectomy, some patients decide not to undergo it or are not candidates. An external breast prosthesis is worn on the outside of the body to replace the breast that was removed during the mastectomy. Traditional external breast prostheses may lack comfort and fit. A 3D-printed external breast prosthesis is customized to the patient using 3D imaging along with computer-aided design (CAD) to interpret the 3D imaging to develop and print a patient-specific external breast prosthesis. This may create a better fitting prosthesis which may improve PRO.

About this study

The goal of this clinical research study is to learn how often breast cancer recurs (returns after treatment) in the breast in patients who have been treated with chemotherapy and have had follow-up radiation therapy (but not surgery) and are in complete remission (no evidence of disease). This is an investigational study. Radiation therapy is delivered using FDA-approved and commercially available methods. The study doctor can explain how radiation therapy is designed to work. About 120 participants will be enrolled on this multicenter study. Up to 90 may take part at MD Anderson.

About this study

This study will evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of trastuzumab deruxtecan compared with investigator's choice chemotherapy in human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER)2-low, hormone receptor (HR) positive breast cancer patients whose disease has progressed on endocrine therapy in the metastatic setting.

About this study

This is a combination Phase I and Phase II study, with an aim to evaluate the combination of GSK525762 and fulvestrant in women with advanced or metastatic ER+ breast cancer, who have disease that has progressed after prior treatment with at least one line of endocrine therapy. The objectives of the study are to first identify, in open-label single-arm Phase I, a recommended Phase II dose of GSK525762 that may be combined safely with fulvestrant. Phase I will follow a modified toxicity probability interval (mTPI) design, and a sentinel group will be evaluated first for dose-limiting toxicity and further expanded to collect additional safety data. This will be followed by a double-blind, randomized controlled Phase II, to identify the clinical activity of the two study treatments when given in combination. The composition of Phase II will be selected at the end of Phase I. Approximately, up to 140 subjects and 154 subjects will receive study treatment in Phase I and Phase II respectively. A completed subject will be one who is followed until death.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine if tucatinib works better than placebo when given with other drugs to treat participants with HER2-positive breast cancer. A placebo is a pill that looks the same as tucatinib but has no medicine in it. This study will also test what side effects happen when participants take this combination of drugs. A side effect is anything a drug does to the body besides treating your disease. Participants will have cancer that has spread in the body near where it started (locally advanced) and cannot be removed (unresectable) or has spread through the body (metastatic). In this study, all participants will get either tucatinib or placebo. Participants will be assigned randomly to a group. This is a blinded study, so patients and their doctors will not know which group a participant is in. All participants will also get trastuzumab and pertuzumab. These are 2 drugs used to treat this type of cancer.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of active symptom monitoring and patient education to patient education alone in helping young women with stage I-III breast cancer stay on their hormone therapy medicines.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the activity of lasofoxifene relative to fulvestrant for the treatment of postmenopausal women with locally advanced or metastatic ER+/HER2− breast cancer with an acquired ESR1 mutation and who have disease progression on an aromatase inhibitor (AI) in combination with a cyclin dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 inhibitor. The primary objective is to evaluate the progression free survival (PFS) of 5 mg lasofoxifene relative to fulvestrant for the treatment of postmenopausal women with locally advanced or metastatic estrogen receptor positive (ER+)/human epidermal growth factor 2 negative (HER2−) breast cancer with an ESR1 mutation.
