About this study

This study is open to adults with chronic heart failure (HF) who have a reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of less than 40%. People can join the study if they have been diagnosed with chronic HF at least 3 months before the study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called vicadrostat, in combination with another medicine called empagliflozin, helps people with chronic heart failure.

In this study, participants are put into 2 groups randomly. Participants have an equal chance of being in either group. One group takes vicadrostat and empagliflozin tablets, and the other group takes placebo and empagliflozin tablets. Placebo tablets look like vicadrostat tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants take the study medicines as tablets once a day for between 1 and about 3.5 years. During this time, they can continue their regular treatment for heart failure.

Participants can stay in the study as long as they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it, for a maximum of about 3.5 years. During this time, they visit the study site regularly. The exact number of visits is different for each participant, depending on how long they stay in the study. The study staff may also contact the participants by phone. Participants also regularly answer questions about their well-being. The doctors document when participants experience worsening of their heart failure symptoms, must go to hospital due to heart failure, or die during the study. The time until these events are observed is compared between the treatment groups to see whether the treatment works. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

About this study

This phase II trial studies the effect of ascorbic acid and combination chemotherapy in treating patients with lymphoma that has come back (recurrent) or does not respond to therapy (refractory), clonal cytopenia of undetermined significance and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML). Ascorbic acid may make cancer cells more sensitive to chemotherapy. Drugs used in chemotherapy, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving ascorbic acid and combination chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness of fulvestrant to anastrozole or tamoxifen in treating invasive lobular breast cancer, by measuring the level of the biomarker Ki67 found in tumor tissue before and then after treatment.

About this study

This is an open-label, phase 1/1b study evaluating the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic (what the body does to the drug), pharmacodynamic (what the drug does to the body), and antitumor activity of CGT4255 in adult participants with advanced solid tumors with ERBB2 alterations or HER2 overexpression.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the side effects and best dose of nivolumab when given together with multi-fraction stereotactic radiosurgery and to see how well they work with or without ipilimumab in treating participants with grade II-III meningioma that has come back. Monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab and ipilimumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Stereotactic radiosurgery is a specialized radiation therapy that delivers a single, high dose of radiation directly to the tumor and may cause less damage to normal tissue. It is not yet known whether giving nivolumab and multi-fraction stereotactic radiosurgery with or without ipilimumab may work better in treating participants with grade II-III meningioma.

About this study

The goal of this study is to test A2B395, an allogeneic logic-gated Tmod™ CAR T-cell product in subjects with solid tumors including colorectal cancer (CRC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and other solid tumors that express EGFR and have lost HLA-A\*02 expression. The main questions this study aims to answer are: * Phase 1: What is the recommended dose of A2B395 that is safe for patients * Phase 2: Does the recommended dose of A2B395 kill the solid tumor cells and protect the patient's healthy cells Participants will be required to perform study procedures and assessments, and will also receive the following study treatments: * Enrollment in BASECAMP-1 (NCT04981119) * Preconditioning lymphodepletion (PCLD) regimen * A2B395 Tmod CAR T cells at the assigned dose * A2B395 Tmod CAR T cells at the assigned dose

About this study

The purpose of this research is to test an investigational device using ultrasound along with an investigational drug to see if it is useful in treating glioblastoma following standard of care therapy surgery and chemoradiation. This study is evaluating an experimental treatment for glioblastoma that uses an investigational drug (5-ALA) combined with a non-invasive ultrasound device (LIDU) to target tumor cells. Patients meeting the entry requirements to be in the study, will be equally randomly assigned to receive the study device plus the active study drug plus active ultrasound, or to a "sham" procedure where the ultrasound is not being activated and the study drug is a placebo (looks the same but does not contain active drug). Neither the patient or the investigator will know who is in the active group or not. Both groups will continue to receive the standard therapy of oral Temozolomide.
