Olaparib, Cediranib Maleate, and Standard Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Small Cell Lung Cancer

  During the early phases (phases 1 and 2), researchers assess safety, side effects, optimal dosages and risks/benefits. About this study

This randomized phase II trial studies how well olaparib, cediranib maleate, and standard chemotherapy work in treating patients with small cell lung cancer. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, cisplatin, and etoposide, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Olaparib and cediranib maleate may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Olaparib, cediranib maleate, and standard chemotherapy may work better in treating patients with small cell lung cancer.

About this study

This is a phase III, randomized, open-label, multicenter, global study to determine the efficacy and safety of combining durvalumab ± tremelimumab with platinum based chemotherapy (EP) followed by durvalumab ± tremelimumab maintenance therapy versus EP alone as first-line treatment in patients with extensive-stage small-cell lung cancer.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of the combination of ramucirumab and pembrolizumab versus standard of care chemotherapy for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer that is stage IV or that has come back after a period of improvement (recurrent). Ramucirumab is a monoclonal antibody that may prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. I

About this study

This study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ifinatamab deruxtecan (I-DXd) in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) atezolizumab with or without carboplatin in participants with extensive stage-small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) in the first-line (1L) setting.

Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as etoposide, cisplatin, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving chemoradiation with or without atezolizumab may work better in treating patients with limited stage small cell lung cancer.

The purpose of this study is that pembrolizumab/vibostolimab (MK-7684A) in combination with chemotherapy is superior to pembrolizumab in combination with chemotherapy with respect to overall survival (OS) in treatment-naïve metastatic participants with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of adding radiation therapy to the usual maintenance therapy with atezolizumab versus atezolizumab alone in patients who have already received atezolizumab plus chemotherapy for the treatment of small cell lung cancer that has spread outside of the lung or to other parts of the body (extensive stage). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Radiation therapy uses high energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving radiation therapy in addition to atezolizumab may extend the time without extensive small cell lung cancer growing or spreading compared to atezolizumab alone.
