About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine how well the addition of targeted radiation therapy to surgery and the usual chemotherapy treatment works for the treatment of stage I-IIIA malignant pleural mesothelioma. Targeted radiation therapy such as intensity-modulated radiation therapy or pencil beam scanning uses high energy rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as pemetrexed, cisplatin, and carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving targeted radiation therapy in addition to surgery and chemotherapy may work better than surgery and chemotherapy alone for the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma.

The purpose of this study is to determine if an AF detection intervention in men and women at least 70 years of age with undiagnosed atrial fibrillation (AF) or atrial flutter (AFL) reduces the person-years incidence rate of stroke compared to usual care (no AF detection intervention).

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess the safety and effectiveness of a Stem cell transfer using a biomatrix (The Gore Fistula Plug) in patients with persistent symptoms of post-surgical gastrointestinal leaks despite current standard radiologic and endoscopic treatments. The subjects will be followed for fistula response and closure for 18 months. This is an autologous product (derived from the patient) and used only for the same patient.

About this study

This is a multicentre, randomised, double-blind (DB), parallel-group, placebo-controlled, 24-week Phase III study to compare the efficacy and safety of benralizumab versus placebo administered by SC injection Q4W in patients with hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES). This study comprises 2 distinct periods (together defined as the 'main study'): A 24-week, DB treatment period, during which patients will be randomised to receive either benralizumab or placebo, in addition to prior stable HES background therapy, and an open-label (OLE) treatment period, during which all patients will receive benralizumab. The primary database lock (DBL) will occur when at least 47 patients have had their first HES worsening/flare event and all randomised patients have been followed up for the 24-week DB treatment period. The target patient population is male and female patients 12 years of age and older with symptomatic active HES. Approximately 120 eligible patients will be randomised at a 1:1 ratio to receive either benralizumab or matching placebo.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness and safety of Momelotinib (MMB) to Danazol (DAN) in treating and reducing disease related symptoms, the need for blood transfusions, and splenomegaly, in adults with primary Myelofibrosis (MF), post-polycythemia vera MF or post-essential thrombocythemia MF.

MOMENTUM is a randomized, double-blind, active control Phase 3 trial intended to confirm the differentiated clinical benefits of the investigational drug momelotinib (MMB) versus danazol (DAN) in symptomatic and anemic subjects who have previously received an approved Janus kinase inhibitor (JAKi) therapy for myelofibrosis (MF). About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of adding pembrolizumab to gemcitabine in treating patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer whose cancer does not respond to Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) treatment. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as gemcitabine, work in different ways by stopping the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the patient's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Adding pembrolizumab to gemcitabine may delay the return of BCG-unresponsive bladder cancer for longer period compared to gemcitabine alone.
