The purpose of this study is to gather objective data and patient samples (blood and stool) from a large number of adolescents with autonomic dysfunction for use in subsequent hypothesis-driven research.
The purpose of this study is to study the structure and biochemistry of the brain and/or bodily fluid and tissue after death. Comparison of specimens from normal and diseased individuals provide essential clues that lead to a greater understanding of the diseased state which, in turn, will lead to new ideas for therapy.
The purpose of this research study is to better understand why patients with a disease that causes problems with the autonomic nervous system often have high blood pressure when they lie down. We hope that if we learn more about the cause for this problem, we will be able to treat the problem better in the future.
