A Study Of Upper Cervical Motion During Cervical Retraction And Cranial Cervical Flexion Exercises

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare upper cervical spine interspinous process measurements during a cervical retraction exercise and a cranial cervical flexion exercise, as measured using ultrasound imaging.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Healthy study participants > age 18.

 Exclusion Criteria:

  • Inability to perform chin tuck and CCF exercises due to physical, mental, or other limitation, current or recent neck pain in the last 30 days, participant-reported history of head or neck surgery that deems them unfit for participation, allergy to ultrasound gel and/or skin marker.
