Tissue Microarray Data
To facilitate assessment of molecular features across multiple patient-derived xenograft models by immunohistochemistry, orthotopic tumors were selected based on review of the hematoxylin and eosin slides for inclusion in a tissue microarray.
Adequate specimens from 57 PDX lines were identified for inclusion in the tissue microarray by the Mayo Clinic Brain Tumor Patient-Derived Xenograft National Resource.
For each block selected, two 0.6-millimeter cores were removed from the block and arrayed in a tissue microarray along with relevant controls. The tissue microarray was stained for numerous common signaling molecules, and the tissue microarray slide was scanned using the Aperio Imaging system.
