Our lab strongly believes in mentoring the next generation. Here, Dr. Fairweather works with a research fellow examining gene expression changes in myocarditis.
We believe that students are an integral part of a successful research laboratory. Our lab is committed to teaching and mentoring students from all disciplines who want to gain research experience in a translational lab setting. Drs. Fairweather and Bruno have successfully mentored students at all levels, from high school students to Ph.D. and M.D. fellows.
Fellows, residents and students interested in pursuing research about sex differences in chronic disease, the immunopathogenesis of cardiovascular disease and translational research in cardiovascular disease should contact Dr. Fairweather for learning opportunities.
