SUMMARY

Nicholas (Nick) L. Zalewski, M.D., conducts research in challenging myelopathies, transverse myelitis, vascular myelopathies, atypical demyelinating disease, autoimmune neurology, paraneoplastic neurological diseases and neuroimaging.

Focus areas

  • Myelopathy. Clinical and radiographic clues to help diagnose a variety of spinal cord diseases such as transverse myelitis and mimickers
  • Vascular myelopathies. Spinal cord infarction, spinal dural arteriovenous fistula
  • Demyelinating disease. Multiple sclerosis, tumefactive multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein-related disorders
  • Paraneoplastic neurological disease. Autoantibody-associated paraneoplastic neurological disease
