SUMMARY

Our laboratory develops diagnostic laboratory tests intended to enhance response to drug therapy in the medical specialty areas of cardiology, infectious diseases, neurology, nicotine dependence, psychiatry, and transplantation; this field is known as therapeutic drug monitoring. We also develop diagnostic tests to identify the presence of drugs of abuse and drugs or toxins frequently associated with acute or life-threatening toxicity. Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art gas and liquid chromatography using mass spectrometry for detection.
