SUMMARY
The Minimally Invasive Surgery Laboratory provides a venue in which to investigate applicability of laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures to solve common surgical problems.
Studies have been designed to investigate new procedures for esophageal reflux, lung volume reduction, spinal fusion and multiple intra-abdominal procedures, including malrotation, adrenalectomy, small bowel resections, colectomy and splenectomy.
Our laboratory also serves as a training center for basic and advanced techniques in laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgery.
