Sadia A. Choudhery, M.D., is passionate about improving the diagnostic and prognostic value of breast imaging. She uses advanced imaging technologies including machine learning and computer-aided detection algorithms to impact the outcomes of patients with breast cancer and benign breast diseases. Her research focuses on the use of big data, including imaging, clinical and histopathological data, to provide personalized breast care.

Focus areas

  • Development of new breast imaging technologies, with the use of machine learning, to enhance the sensitivity and specificity of breast imaging
  • Utilization of multidisciplinary data for creation of models that allow for personalized treatment and management of breast cancer patients
  • Implementation of new technologies in daily practice to increase workflow efficiency for radiologists, technologists and support staff

Significance to patient care

Dr. Choudhery's work will individualize breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, prevention and surveillance. Dr. Choudhery is hopeful that through an individualized approach, patients with breast cancer will have decreased morbidity and overall improved outcomes.
