The Pulmonary and Critical Care Division has three fellowship programs and a NIH-funded training grant for Pulmonary Medicine with four fellows in each of the three years of the program. There are also opportunities to extend fellowships for additional research experience on other NIH grants or the two-year Clinician Investigator program. Additionally, there is a one-year accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship which was recently increased to four positions per year. The Critical Care Section has a two-year critical care fellowship which currently has 16 fellows in the Internal Medicine Critical Care track. The two Pulmonary Medicine Hospital teaching services have PG 1 and PG 2 residents from the Internal Medicine training program. Also, the Pulmonary Medicine faculty has course responsibilities in years one and two of the Mayo Medical School curriculum.
