One of the most worrisome complications of S. aureus bacteremia (SAB) is infective endocarditis (IE).Our goal from this project is to prospectively validate the Predicting Risk of Endocarditis Using a Clinical Tool (PREDICT) scoring system and to assess the potential novel risk factors to optimize the PREDICT scoring system prior to formal implementation in clinical practice.
