Research trainee program
Our research trainee program equips current and future family physicians with essential research skills and experience to advance their academic careers. Trainees work directly with experienced mentors, participate in Department of Family Medicine research meetings and Grand Rounds, and contribute to impactful research projects.
By joining our program, trainees support Mayo Clinic's Bold. Forward. strategy and department priorities in practice innovation, quality improvement and community engagement.
Eligibility
- Physicians who have passed Step 2 CK with a score of 250 or higher.
- Graduate of medical school within the last five years.
Program structure
- Six-month unpaid, self-funded appointment, with a possible six-month extension.
- Direct mentorship and participation in department activities.
