Consulting
The Biomechanics Core develops custom protocols and experiments to help answer fundamental questions in the field of clinical biomechanics. The core leverages its experience and engineering expertise to develop custom technology and hardware.
The core can:
- Design experimental protocols. Working from scientific inquiries brought by its collaborators, the core can design and conduct custom experimental protocols. These protocols often involve the mechanical characterization of biomaterials, medical device testing or in vitro joint simulation with cadaveric specimens.
- Design devices. The core designs and produces custom test rigs and experimental device prototypes.
- Develop software. The core has experience developing custom software for data analysis pipelines, electromechanical device control and data collection. Specialized experience includes working with microcontrollers, data acquisition systems, and Python and MATLAB programming languages.
