About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the probable benefit and safety of the LIPOSORBER® LA-15 System for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients with nephrotic syndrome associated with primary focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, when the standard treatment options, including corticosteroid and/or calcineurin inhibitors treatments, have been unsuccessful or not well tolerated, and the patient has a GFR ≥ 45 ml/min/1.73m2, or the patient is post renal transplantation. Treatment for FSGS is considered unsuccessful if the patient is unresponsive to standard therapy (e.g., at least 8 weeks of corticosteroids) and fails to achieve complete or partial remission. A standard treatment is considered not well tolerated if the patient experiences severe side effects without providing an acceptable level of clinical benefit.

The purpose of this study is to design and develop a wearable amplification device with the capability of an extended high frequency range for improved fidelity, directionality, noise cancellation, and surround sound.

Noninvasive electrostimulation of the cochlea has notable benefits for normal hearing and hearing-impaired individuals that extend well-beyond conventional acoustic and bone conducted enhancements of sound. Although the technique has been known since the 19th century little clinical attention or application of the technique has occurred, particularly related to a wearable technology for individual use.

About this study

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation and bevacizumab in treating patients with stage IV melanoma, gynecological cancers, or other malignancies that cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Giving paclitaxel albumin-stabilized nanoparticle formulation and bevacizumab may kill more tumor cells.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether breast conservation surgery and endocrine therapy results in a non-inferior rate of invasive or non-invasive ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence (IBTR) compared to breast conservation with breast radiation and endocrine therapy.

About this study

BH-30643-01 is a Phase 1/2, first-in-human, open label, dose escalation and expansion study in patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and/or human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER2) mutations. The study drug, BH-30643 capsules, will be self-administered by mouth twice daily in 21-day cycles.

Phase 1 will determine the recommended Phase 2 dose (RP2D) and, if applicable, the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of BH-30643.

Phase 2 will further evaluate the antitumor efficacy and safety in specified cohorts determined by EGFR/HER2 mutation subtypes and/or treatment history at the RP2D, as well as the population PK.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of DA-1229 compared to placebo in patients with calcific aortic valve disease with mild to moderate aortic stenosis. There are 3 arms in this study to which patients will be randomized in a ratio of 1:1:1 to receive the DA-1229 or placebo orally once daily for a period of 104 weeks. The 3 arms are: placebo, DA-1229 5mg Group, and DA-1229 10 mg Group. The study will have three phases: Screening Period (up to 4 weeks), Treatment Period (104 weeks), and Follow-Up Period (2-4 weeks). Total Study Duration is 112 Weeks.

About this study

This phase II trial compares the effect of giving cabozantinib with or without cemiplimab in patients with adrenocortical cancer that has spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes (locally advanced), and that cannot be removed by surgery (unresectable) or that has come back after a period of improvement (recurrent) or that has spread from where it first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Cabozantinib is in a class of medications called tyrosine kinase inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of an abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply, which may help keep cancer cells from growing. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as cemiplimab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving cabozantinib with cemiplimab may kill more tumor cells in patients with locally advanced unresectable or recurrent/metastatic adrenocortical cancer.
