A Study For Women Who Have Platinum Resistant Ovarian Cancer To Evaluate EC145 Combined With Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin, Compared To Pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin Alone

During the early phases (phases 1 and 2), researchers assess safety, side effects, optimal dosages and risks/benefits. In the later phase (phase 3), researchers study whether the treatment works better than the current standard therapy. They also compare the safety of the new treatment with that of current treatments. Phase 3 trials include large numbers of people to make sure that the result is valid. There are also less common very early (phase 0) and later (phase 4) phases. Phase 0 trials are small trials that help researchers decide if a new agent should be tested in a phase 1 trial. Phase 4 trials look at long-term safety and effectiveness, after a new treatment has been approved and is on the market.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the progression-free survival in women who have platinum-resistant ovarian cancer, who receive combination therapy with EC145 and pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (EC145+PLD) with those who receive PLD alone.

About this study

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of trifluridine/tipiracil hydrochloride combination agent TAS-102 (TAS-102) when given together with radiation therapy in treating patients with rectal cancer that has come back, spread to other places in the body, or cannot be removed by surgery. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as TAS-102, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to kill tumor cells and shrink tumors. Giving TAS-102 with radiation therapy may kill more tumor cells.

The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of adding stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) to standard treatment (image guided radiation therapy [IGRT] and chemotherapy followed by immunotherapy with durvalumab) versus standard treatment alone in treating patients with non-small cell lung cancer that cannot be treated by surgery (inoperable).

About this study

The purpose of this study is to confirm the performance of the CB-17-08 software as a medical device (SaMD) to help endoscopist during the colonoscopy procedure to find potential mucosal lesions, including polyps, adenomas and carcinomas, without significant noise disturbing the endoscopist attention, nor negative interference with the lesions detection than with the standard endoscopy video alone. The study will evaluate whether high-definition white-light (HDWL) colonoscopy using CB-17-08 SaMD will have a lower miss rate of clinically significant polyps, as compared to standard HDWL colonoscopy alone (the current standard of care for colonoscopy).

About this study

The purpose of this 2 cohort study is to evaluate the effectiveness of tipifarnib in HRAS mutant HNSCC (AIM-HN). The first cohort will assess the objective response rate (ORR) of tipifarnib in subjects with HNSCC with HRAS mutations. The second study cohort, SEQ-HN, is an observational sub-study and includes 2 types of patients: (1) the historical record of first line therapy in subjects with HRAS mutant HNSCC participating in Cohort 1 in whom first line outcome data are available and (2) matched control HNSCC patients in whom HRAS mutations were not identified (wild type HRAS HNSCC) and who consent to provide first line outcome data and additional follow up.

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of adding nivolumab to the usual chemotherapy (cisplatin or carboplatin with gemcitabine) versus the usual chemotherapy alone in treating patients with nasopharyngeal cancer that has come back (recurrent) or spread to other places in the body (metastatic). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Chemotherapy drugs, such as cisplatin, carboplatin, and gemcitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving nivolumab with the usual chemotherapy may work better than the usual chemotherapy alone in treating patients with nasopharyngeal cancer.
