  • National Neuropsychology Network (NNN) Rochester, Minn.

The purpose of this study is to develop a National Neuropsychology Network (NNN) that will gather clinical diagnostic information following a shared protocol, collect item-level data on representative neuropsychological (NP) instruments, aggregate data from the Structured History Protocol for Neuropsychology (SHiP-NP) and deposit these data in the NIMH Data Archive (NDA), more specifically in the Research Domains Criteria database (RDoCdb).

  • Mayo Test Development Through Rapid Iteration, Validation and Expansion (Mayo Test Drive) (MTD) Rochester, Minn., Jacksonville, Fla.

The overall goal of this research is to develop and validate online tests of memory and thinking. We will determine the feasibility, reliability, and validity of computerized tests that can be completed remotely, that is, without requiring a clinical or research visit. Mayo Test Drive is a web-based platform that allows for self-administration of cognitive measures on a smartphone or alternative device (e.g., PC, tablet). This flexible approach is necessary to increase access to cognitive assessment and reduce healthcare disparities. Our team has developed a novel word list learning test optimized for remote assessment via smartphone that was designed to be sensitive to subtle memory changes. We also include an open-source measure of processing speed. This study will help establish the psychometric properties and normative standards of these tests and determine their ability to detect cognitive changes with age and with different medical conditions.
