Clinical Trials

Inclusion Criteria:

In order to be eligible to participate in this study, an individual must meet all of the following criteria:

• Stated willingness to comply with all study procedures and availability for the duration of the study.

• Female, aged 18 – 49 years ^a

• Diagnosed with PPCM with echocardiogram images available for review ^b

• Currently pregnant or postpartum (up to 48 months following delivery)

• Ability of subject or Legally Authorized Representative (LAR) to understand and the willingness to sign a written informed consent document

^a. Among cases, we will consider age at the time of PPCM diagnosis

^b. Applies to cases only and not controls. Controls would ideally not have a diagnosis of PPCM.

Exclusion Criteria:

An individual who meets any of the following criteria will be excluded from participation in this study:

• Acute severe illness (e.g. hospital admission with cardiogenic shock) with limited capacity communicate adequately with study team

• Presence of significant conduction abnormalities on the resting ECG. This includes atrial or ventricular pacing artifacts, pacemaker dependence, or severely abnormal QRS morphology on ECG tracings (including left bundle branch block and right bundle branch block)

• Complex congenital heart disease such as single ventricle physiology or significant shunts with cardiac structural changes (repaired and unrepaired)
