A Study Of Chemotherapy Using A Functional Precision Assay In Surgical Resection Of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC)

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess the logistical feasibility of performing phenotypic-driven functional precision medicine chemosensitivity report on surgically-resected PDAC specimens shipped to KYAN Technologies’s facilities at Mayo Lab Services (Rochester, MN).

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Histologically proven pancreatic adenocarcinoma

  • AJCC (8th edition) Stage I-III

  • Surgically resectable disease according to NCCN criteria (Version 1.2023 - May 4, 2023)

  • Anticipated surgical resection at Mayo Clinic, Arizona

  • Age > 18 years

  • Ability to provide informed consent

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Pancreatic histology other than ductal adenocarcinoma

  • Serious medical comorbidities or other contraindications to surgery

  • Prior malignancy within 5 years treated with chemotherapy

  • Radiologic complete response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy for primary pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (predicted insufficient tissue for research specimen)
