About this study

The purpose of this study is to create a secure, consented repository of image and video recordings from patients and legally authorized representatives (LARs) in clinical and common spaces, linked with structured and unstructured clinical data from the EHR, to support the development, validation and lifecycle management of current and future AI/computer vision models.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Age ≥ 18 years.

  • Receiving care at Mayo Clinic (inpatient, outpatient, or present in common areas as a patient).

  • Able to provide informed consent or have a legally authorized representative (LAR) who can provide consent when permitted.

  • Present in areas with video capture capability covered by this protocol.

  

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Patients or LARs who decline or withdraw consent.

  • Situations where the clinical team believes video capture is inappropriate (e.g., during sensitive exams).
