About this study

The purpose of this study is to identify individuals who underwent external hemipelvectomy or hip disarticulation surgery before age 40 (pediatric, young adult and adult populations) who are still living and are potential candidates for prosthesis use.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients with history of external hemipelvectomy or hip disarticulation surgery prior to age 40 years

  • Surgery at Mayo Clinic Rochester

 

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Over 40 years of age at time of hemipelvectomy or hip disarticulation

  • Non-English speaking/reading

  • Deceased
