A Study Of Coccidioides Species Antigen Detection Assay From Urine Specimens

About this study

The purpose of this study is to collect urine samples from patients confirmed to be infected with Coccidioides by culture and/or PCR testing of any source.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Any patient with a positive culture or PCR result for Coccidioides species

  • Urine can be provided within 2 weeks of initiation of antifungal treatment for Coccidioides infection

  • >2 uL of residual urine collected for routine clinical care

 

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Negative culture or PCR result for Coccidioides species; urine provided >2 weeks after antifungal treatment initiation
