A Study Of Obstructive Sleep Apnea On Barrett’s Esophagus Treatment Outcomes

About this study

The purpose of this study is to describe the association between a diagnosis of OSA and endoscopic outcomes in patients with Barretts Esophagus who have achieved complete remission of intestinal metaplasia (CRIM).

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients with OSA (or screen positive, confirmed OSA with HSAT) and BE at the time of surveillance endoscopy, or patients screening positive for OSA (STOP-BANG positive)

  • Patients without OSA (STOP-BANG negative or HSAT negative) and with BE at the time of surveillance endoscopy

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Pregnant women, individuals under the age of 18 years, and patients with central sleep apnea.
