A Study Of Decision Regret And Quality Of Life After Surgery Or Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) For Vestibular Schwannoma

About this study

The purpose of this study is to capture the Decision Regret Score (DRS) and Mayo Clinic Vestibular Schwannoma Quality of Life Index (VSQOL). Capture patients’ primary motivators behind their treatment choice.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  •  Age ≥18 years.

  • Unilateral vestibular schwannoma, small-medium-sized tumor (<3.0cm)

  • Treated with microsurgical resection or SRS between 2021-2024 at Mayo Clinic

  • House-Brackmann Grade 1 pre-treatment

  • Pre-treatment MRI obtained, Pre-treatment Audiogram obtained

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Neurofibromatosis type 2.

  • Large tumors, Tumors >3.0cm in any dimension

  • Insufficient documentation or inability to contact participant.

  • Only underwent salvage treatment at Mayo Clinic
