A Study Of Prehabilitation For Undergoing Planned Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the SRR-ICP in improving postoperative outcomes in vascular surgery patients undergoing AAA repair.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult patients, 18 years and older, undergoing planned AAA repair, who can consent to research and have access to the patient portal. The SRR-ICP screens for literacy and self-efficacy.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Urgent or emergent AAA repairs or those done without a substantial time period between consultation and surgery. Additionally, patients with limitations preventing participation in aerobic exercise (i.e., paralysis, amputation) or unable to consume will be excluded.
