About this study

The purpose of this study is to use surveys and interviews, to identify multilevel barriers and facilitators to PA screening among clinicians, patients, and healthcare leaders and identify potential strategies to address them.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Adult patients (≥18 years) with documented hypertension

  • Clinicians treating hypertensive patients

  • Administrative or clinical leaders (e.g., department heads, clinic administrators) with roles relevant to PA screening

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Patients who do not provide research authorization to review their medical records for general research studies in accordance with Minnesota Status 144.335.

  • Patients under 18 years of age.

  • Inability to provide informed consent

  • Non-English speakers
