A Study Of Online Tool For Shared Decision Making For AFib Patients

About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop a web based tool for shared decision making to assist atrial fibrillation patients in stroke risk stratification and selection of rate and rhythm control therapies.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Above the age of 18

  • Diagnosed with atrial fibrillation within the last 6 months

  • Must be patients at an Electrophysiology practice at Mayo Clinic

  • Must consent to participation

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients with impaired decision making capability

  • Prisoners

  • Patients with high emotional distress
