A Study Of Healthcare Professionals Influencing The Choice Between LC And RC

About this study

This study aims to provide qualitative evidence on the barriers and facilitators influencing the choice between laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) and robotic cholecystectomy (RC) among the involved stakeholders and healthcare professionals.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Surgeons who perform LC or RC.

  • Healthcare professionals directly involved in decision-making related to LC and RC (e.g., procurement officers, robotic coordinators, operating room managers, anesthesiologists, sterile processing staff).

  • Stakeholders with a minimum of six months of experience in their current role within the surgical department or relevant field.

  • Proficient in English to ensure effective communication during interviews.

 

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals with less than six months of relevant professional experience.

  • Language barriers that prevent effective participation without the availability of translation services.
