A Study Of Hidden Cardiovascular Risk Through Social Isolation Screening And Digital Biomarkers In Mayo Clinic Employees

Overview

About this study

The purpose of this study is to assess prevalence of social isolation as per Berkman-Syme social network index and health behaviors patterns through Linear Analogue Self-Assessment quality of life questionnaire, in both clinical and non-clinical Mayo Clinic employees. Evaluate associations between social isolation and cardiovascular risk by analyzing data from innovative digital screening tools, including AI-enabled ECG algorithms and voice analysis. A limited number of individuals will also undergo sleep apnea testing through a noninvasive device (WatchPat). Develop tentative evidence-based intervention pathways based on the results of data collection and analysis, emphasizing the characteristics of employees with high social support.
