A Study Of Serum Vitamin D Levels For Nigerian And USA Black Prostate Cancer Patients

About this study

The purpose of this study is to compare the immunological effects of vitamin D deficiency and its correction in Black/West African prostate cancer (CaP) patients compared to Black/African American CaP patients.  

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • This study has been performed exclusively in Black patients.

  • ≥ 18 years of age

Exclusion Criteria:

  • This study will not involve children, nor prisoners nor pregnant women, nor fetuses, nor neonates, nor adults lacking the capacity to consent, nor non-English speakers.
