Topical Carboxytherapy Face Mask Effect following CO2 Laser Resurfacing on Facial Skin

About this study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate post-CO2 laser resurfacing skin with CO2Lift mask (topical carboxylation) and review its effect on the appearance of skin photo aging.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Subject with moderate to severe facial photoaging.
  • Female or male subject age 40-99 years.
  • Subject with Fitzpatrick skin types I-III.
  • Subject has signed an Informed Consent Form in compliance with 21CFR Part 50: "Protection of Human Subjects."
  • Subject is dependable and able to follow directions and is willing to comply with the schedule of visits.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Any dermatological disorder, which in the investigator’s opinion, may interfere with the accurate evaluation of the subject's skin characteristics, except for the conditions associated with sensitive skin or photoaging skin.
  • Subjects who are pregnant or lactating.
  • Subjects with history of hypertrophic scarring or keloids.
  • Subjects who do not agree to refrain from direct sun exposure during the study duration.
  • Subjects who are unwilling or unable to comply with the requirements of the protocol.
  • Subjects with any planned surgeries and/or invasive medical procedures during the study.
  • Subjects currently receiving any anticancer, immunosuppressive treatments/ medications (e.g., azathioprine, belimumab, cyclophosphamide, etanercept, adalimumab, mycophenolate mofetil, methotrexate, prednisone, infliximab, ustekinumab), or radiation.
