Patient Transfer Tray Usability and Biomechanical Assessment

About this study

The purpose of this project is to perform a biomechanical and usability analyses of a patient transfer tray for horizontally transporting patients to and from different imaging modalities in a stable manner via a “sling style” design.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Staff currently at Mayo Clinic in the Department of Neurosurgery and affiliate departments.
  • Age: 18-65.
  • Not currently experiencing any chronic shoulder, neck, or back pain.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Staff member experiencing chronic back, shoulder, or neck pain.
  • Under 18 years old.
  • Not willing to participate.
  • Pregnant staff members.
