DivErse Sexualities and Gender Identities in Inflammatory Bowel Disease(IBD)

About this study

The purpsoe of this study is to identify the needs of LGBTQ+ individuals with IBD through a community-based participatory research and human-centered design principles.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients seen at Mayo Clinic
  • IBD diagnosis
  • Age> 18 years
  • English-speaking

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • No IBD diagnosis
  • Age< 18 years
  • Non-English-speaking requiring an interpreter
  • Deceased at time of study invitation
