Microplastics in Blood and Pulmonary Disease

About this study

The purpose of this research is to detect microplastics in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or pulmonary hypertension (PH) in comparison to healthy individuals.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria (intervention group):

  • Males and females 18 years of age and above.
  • Diagnosed with lung disease including ILD, COPD or PH.

Inclusion Criteria (control group):

  • Males and females 18 years of age and above.
  • Has not been previously diagnosed with any pulmonary disease.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • None
