About this study

The purpose of this study is to identify key aortic parameters implicated in the development of adverse outcomes in TAA patients, in order to develop improved risk stratification and therapeutic strategies

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Subjects are ≥18 years old.

  • Have a dilation of the aortic root or ascending aorta ≥ 40mm, or ≥ 2.0 cm/m2 in subjects with BSA < 1.7 m2 or > 2.2m2.20.

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Subjects are excluded if they have:

    • Dad a previous surgical repair of the aorta;

    • Previously suffered an acute aortic syndrome;

    • No follow-up imaging studies 12 months or more after the index imaging study;

    • No blood pressure values at the index visit.
