Para- and Post-Infectious Autonomic Dysfunction


About this study

The aim of this study is to identify specific infectious diseases associated with autonomic dysfunction, and to characterize patterns of autonomic dysfunction.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Subject population (children, adults, groups):  Adults aged 18 years and older

Inclusion Criteria:

1- Patients aged 18 years or older with abnormal autonomic reflex screen (ARS) from 2000 onwards, and

2- Prior history of infection confirmed by history or serological studies

Exclusion Criteria: 

Patients with an alternative explanation for abnormal ARS results, i.e. medication effects, no prior history of infection
