A Study to Analyze The Effect of Aromatherapy on Stress, Anxiety, and Wellbeing in GIM Allied Health Medical Secretary, Administrative, and Scheduling Staff

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine if aromatherapy has a positive effect on increasing perceived well-being and decreases stress and anxiety in the workplace.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

Each GIM staff participant must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be able to consent to participating.
  • Be willing to participate throughout all treatments.
  • Be able to read and speak English.
  • Be able to answer an electronic survey and questionnaire.
  • Have no allergies to essential oils.
  • Have no current asthma symptoms.
  • Have no shortness of breath.
  • Have no wheezing.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • Unwilling to consent.
  • Unable to participate throughout all treatments.
  • Unable to read or speak English.
  • Unable to answer an electronic survey and questionnaire.
  • Allergies to essential oils.
  • Currently experiencing asthma symptoms.
  • Shortness of breath.
  • Wheezing.
