A Study To Evaluate The Performance Of A Patient Self-reported, Digital Admission Reporting Software For The Emergency Department

About this study

The purpose of this study is to test the accuracy of a self- administered digital automated system that will generate an electronic admission record, which is intended to support and streamline triage and potentially improve care.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients presenting to the ED at Mayo Clinic Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.
  • Adult patients ages ≥ 18 years of age at index date.
  • Self-arrival to the ED.

Exclusion Criteria

  • Patient arriving to the ED by the EMS system (by ambulance).
  • Patients who are in police custody, intoxicated, cognitively impaired, or otherwise.
  • Unable to fully consent based on provider assessment
  • Patients who are non-English speaking / reading.
