Use of Ultrasound to Treat Anterior Vein Pain after Total Knee Arthroplasty

About this study

The purpose of this study is better understand if patients who have undergone ultrasound-guided local treatments for infrapatellar saphenous neuralgia had sustained and satisfied results.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Previous knee surgery and subsequently developed infrapatellar saphenous neuralgia of the ipsilateral side.
  • Received prior local treatment of the infrapatellar saphenous neuralgia at Mayo Clinic Florida with hydrodisection and steroid injection under ultrasound as described by Clendenen et al.

Exclusion Criteria: 

  • None.
