A Study to Identify the Self-Sustaining Core Causing Atrial Fibrillation, by Using Electrograms of Atrial and Ventricular Fibrillation to Calculate Wave Changes as Contractions Pass Through the Heart Muscle

About this study

The purpose of this study is to develop a new technique based on the change in wave pattern as it passes through muscle tissue, to estimate the location of the self-sustaining regions of chaotic rhythms like human Atrial Fibrillation (AF).

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Inclusion Criteria  

  • Presents with either persistent or paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation
