A Study to Assess Aortic Valve Severity in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation Pre and Post Cardioversion

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine if aortic valve stenosis severity is underestimated in patients with a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation and aortic stenosis who are scheduled for cardioversion.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • ≥18 years of age
  • Has previously diagnosed or newly diagnosed aortic valve stenosis and atrial fibrillation

Exclusion Criteria 

  • <18 years of age
  • Prisoners
  • Refuses participation in the study
