A Study of the Impact of the Amount of Time Between the Collection of Whole Blood and the Isolation of the White Blood Cells

About this study

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of time between whole blood collection and the isolation of white blood cells on overall protein levels and activity, in specimens from healthy volunteers.

Participation eligibility

Participant eligibility includes age, gender, type and stage of disease, and previous treatments or health concerns. Guidelines differ from study to study, and identify who can or cannot participate. There is no guarantee that every individual who qualifies and wants to participate in a trial will be enrolled. Contact the study team to discuss study eligibility and potential participation.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Non-pregnant, healthy adult volunteers
  • Ages 18-65 

 

Exclusion Criteria

  • Limited decision making capacity or incarcerated 
  • Clinically judged to be at increased risk of bleeding from phlebotomy
  • Hemoglobin < 7gm%
  • Self-reported pregnancy
